Hoisin Sesame Dipping Sauce
makes about 1/2 cup
NOTE: This
sweet, thick sauce works well with dumplings and grilled chicken
wings as well as with skewered grilled chicken, beef, shrimp, or
scallops.

1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons minced fresh gingerroot
2 medium garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro leaves
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Mix hoisin sauce, vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and 2 tablespoons water in small bowl; set aside.
2. Heat vegetable oil in small saucepan over medium heat. Add ginger and garlic and sauté until fragrant but not browned, about 30 seconds.
