Verwendete Quellen

In diesen Roman ist zwar einiges von unserer Familienfolklore eingeflossen, trotzdem stellt er keine historische oder aktuelle authentische Familiengeschichte dar. Alle Flanaghans, die Behörden sowie sämtliche Charaktere, Ereignisse und Verwicklungen sind fiktiv. Allerdings habe ich auf Erfahrungen zurückgegriffen, die ich während mehrerer Demonstrationen in Melbourne und im Wonnangatta sowie beim Rindertreiben in den Dargo High Plains gemacht habe. Ein weiteres, in jeder Hinsicht »echtes« Ereignis ist das Mountain Cattlemen’s Get-Together, das jeden Januar in Victoria stattfindet – vielleicht sehen wir uns dort!
