chevron motif

In current contemporary design, there’s been a chevron craze. The familiar pattern is repeated time and again in various applications, especially in fashion and textiles. I for one am a huge fan. From one of its earliest sightings in ancient pottery to its more current use in military symbols, flags, and clothing—a chevron pattern is a powerful symbol that can be used in a variety of colors for a bold design. In this cake, I section the fondant chevron pattern in an uneven arrangement so that the yellow and white hues bounce off each other in a playful style. You could also space the stripes evenly and align them for a more traditional chevron pattern.
